Hi all
We are looking for some hotel/resort recommendations in Switzerland please. Some initial requirements:
- We'll be coming from Zurich, no more than a 2-3 hour train or drive. Prefer Ticino for the weather but flexible.
- Quiet resort preferred with outdoor space/things to do etc, not a small city hotel or those big results with 100+ rooms
- Perhaps somewhere that has multiple food options, nice breakfast and ideally with options for lunch/dinners onsite half/full board. We are not planning on leaving the premise much
- Healthy/wellness preferred
- Kid friendly for a 2 year old
Dates very flexible in September for 5 nights. Open budget as keen to have a nice experience. Thank you in advance

Maybe somewhere like Vals? It's a nice hotel / thermal bad spa. There is also something similar near Lake Lucerne, but I can't seem to remember the name of it.
They might be called "Wellness Hotels" in English. Here is a page on Trip Advisor for "Die 10 Besten Wellness Hotels Schweiz (2021)":

I think some might be more kid-friendly than others, but many thermal bads that we've been to in Switzerland are very "kid-friendly."
The weather in Valais is often better than Ticino.
tips:
1. Hiking in the Swiss mountains is unbeatable (uncomplicated train rides from Zurich main station can take you to Zermatt, or Klosters - two amazing spots, and the train rides are breath-taking even for people who live in Switzerland)
2. on the way to Italy you have a special valley called the "Engadine" also amazing, and the rafting adventures they do are one of the most fun experiences of my life (but not to be done during floody periods)
3. Ticino and lake Geneva areas are indeed warmer than lake Zurich region, but don't overlook Lago Maggiore (insider tip, look at Cannero Riviera hotels - extremely affordable and mazing)
good travels!
Ah... well: The Chedi, the Tschuggen Grand Arosa, The Eden Roc Ascona, the Bürgenstock... only problem is that you cannot have multiple dinner options as well as a small boutique hotel. But September is sort of off-season, so I would not care too much about the size of the hotel... its gonna be half empty anyways.
The chedi or the bürgenstock are really expensive, the chedi starts at around 520 sfr per night, the bürgenstock resort starts at 1460 sfr per night.
It is possible to spend 23000 sfr per night at the bürgenstock resort/presidential suite.
I won a voucher to spend a weekend at the Giardino Ascona a few years ago.
Absolutely fantastic. Outdoor pool& garden, indoor pool, one of the best kids clubs my kids have ever been to, wonderful breakfast, and a Michelin star restuarant on-site. Golf course right next door. Free bicycles to ride along the lake into town.
Wanted to go back, but then realized that it’s at least 700 per night..., though I would prefer to be here than to spend 5000 on a 1 week package holiday to Greece.
Or if you don’t mind the weather so much, there’s this one:

I spent a snowy 4 days in May in this hotel once and it was absolutely fine because the indoor spa area and pool are fantastic.
DeinDeal has great offers for TI :-) Palma au Lac (Locarno) was AWESOME!
