I'm thinking about stocking up on my contacts for the next 24 months to come before I go into Switzerland.
My vision hasn't changed in the last 2 years and I'm very happy with the ones I'm currently using.
If contacts, same as everything else in Switzerland, are very expensive, would you recommend that I just buy 2 years' supply in my home country before I move to Switzerland?
I use the Daily Toric 90s. It's $64 a box in Canada and it's CHF140 a box in Switzerland.
That's literally more than double what I pay here.
Good thing I asked you guys first. Now I'm gonna stock up for sure! What's more, you get discounts buying more boxes in Canada (prices go down to $40 a box if you buy 6 or more).
To buy online in the UK your prescription needs to be not more than 2 years old (well where I buy at contact for lenses.com).
This is no bother as you should get your prescription renewed at least every 2 years. I go to Visilab in Basel and get a contact lense check then come home, scan in the prescription and email it to contact for lenses with a new order for the new script. If you have unopened boxes for the old strength, they will also take them back.
