vds CNN had a Poland week few months ago. Maybe Google will give you some info. I remember seeing something about a Polish bus manufacturer and their export business to Europe was doing well and growing fast.

My new Dell laptop was built in Poland. It works as expected, I haven't had any issues, it seems solid and doesn't rattle of anything like that.

So based on this one thing, I guess I could say that it has received a full 5 stars, but then you need to take into account that many parts themselves may not have been originally built in Poland at all, but maybe in Taiwan, Japan, the US etc...

I guess that at the very least, the Polish bloke or machinery that put this piece of kit together, did a good job as far as I can tell.

I do like their beers tho', so those too deserve a full 5 stars

I'm not sure I ever bought a "made in poland" product in switzerland. Can you give examples?

But i can say: pilots 0/10

My mum used to drink Polish beer.

At least I think it was beer. The brand was Brasso - I guess this is a town in Poland.

Swearwords that all but physically drip intent and venom - 10/10.

Can't say I recall ever buying anything that came from Poland.

Potatoes 10

Vodka 10

Everything else: not applicable.

Seriously: Poland is not really an exporting nation. I cannot remember to have bought any manufactured product "Made in Poland", with the exception of agricultural products or this .

Polish women rate at 8/10 and they do seem quite abundant in Switzerland.

Two words my friend. Club globe. Although I guess that technically was a rental.

Check out the wild mushrooms when they are available at Migros; they usually come from Poland or Lithuania or Latvia... I have gone mushroom hunting in Poland. The mushrooms get a 10/10.

Another item I have noticed in Migros that often comes from Poland: Candles. I cannot give them a rating, as I have not bought them. I bet they burn well.

My boyfriend is from Poland, but I am not going to head down that path of rating or comparing him. I do like him, though.

Buy European boycott Chinese made

Polish workers seem to have a good reputation in the UK but when I think polish I still have this grey east european image.

5 out of 10 - quality

5 out of 10 - design

This has got nothing to do with reality just my impression of Poland.

Erm... plumbing 9/10

Just have a look here and decide for yourself

...too soon, mate, too soon.

To the OP,

I really think you should consider creating this survey using one of the survey sites out there on the Internet. Think about what you're really asking and form the questions around that. Leaving it open ended, and asking for responses in this thread will simply encourage flippant answers.

If you were to do this, and then invite us to take part, I'm convinced that the information that you get will be of much more value.

I have a Polish colleague (who speaks way better German than English), so all the positive as well as negative stereotypes are discussed in my office often... here is my favourite, but it will only work with the advanced learners of Germany... the best one is "Sauna fertig"
