Thanks!!
What's the normal cost for servicing a car in Geneva or in Switzerland in general. By normal servicing I mean regular oil change, filter change etc and nothing big.. Also would like to know the avg labour time for such service...
You can make analogy with my latest motorbike service. I have an 2001 BMW 1150 GS (last service done 40k in 2006). I received a bill of 1100CHF for yearly service which includes an yearly inspection of 400CHF, oil filter, front brake pad change, Clutch oil change, oil change and a screw (9CHF). They even cleaned the bike for 80CHF. The service cost me over 10% of the value of the bike.
For the bike owners: Do you think it is normal service price from BMW garage? Do you think it is worth complaining to BMW about the price and there practice?
cheers,
Is your car a bently continental or a fiat? There is a huge difference.
There are two kinds of services Gross or klein , in German) meaning big service or small.
A big service for an average car could be up to 1000-1500 sfr while a small service around 300-400.
I just paid 397 sfr for my wife's 2001 Toyota for a small service.
643.24CHF ex parts
unless you own an Alfa Romeo, in that case it is CHF 768.39 ex parts, including washing (for free!)
