Hello everyone. Some insurance company called Helsana keep sending these letters: https://i.imgur.com/ArcbPCo.jpeg to my father. Sometimes with a check attached. He stated that he will not gonna pay for anything and said that maybe his employer signed an insurance without his consent. He worked in Switzerland for about three months but now he doesn’t even live there anymore. Looks like they keep billing these amounts of 266-296 CHF every month for a so-called “Prämienrechnung”. What happen if he don’t pay his debts? Is there any way to cancel this thing?
Since your father was in Switzerland for three months, he probably owes three months worth of premiums.
Your father should contact Helsana and tell them he doesn't live in Switzerland any more.
He was told that cross-border workers who have insurance coverage in another EU or EFTA state are exempt from paying insurance.
Maybe this link will help:

If I understand it correctly, that statement only applies if the cross-border worker is in one of the neighbouring countries (France, Germany, Italy, Austria) with which Switzerland has a mutual agreement regarding where a worker must be insured - and one must apply for an exemption.
In all other cases, the worker must have a Swiss “Krankenkasse” (medical insurance) in place within 3 months.
According to the above link, the requirement for compulsory health insurance ends when the employment contract ends.
You need to get in contact with the health insurance company to get this resolved and avoid any problems down the line.
Rgds,
Nick
He was signed up by the relevant Swiss authority has he did not provided proof of an adequate, accepted insurance coverage within good time. Standard procedure as mandate by the law Art. 6 KVG .
See post above what insurance coverage is needed for a cross border worker.
