Hi all,
I have to do a small bank transfer to a postfinance account.
I have a UBS account with no money in it at the moment, and enough cash on me.
I received the destination info through an email so there is no slip of any color.
What options do I have to do the transfer?
Can I go to poste, hand them cash and tell them to send it to a location?
Or do I have to go through my UBS account? If so, do I need an in-person appointment to do the transfer?
PTSD from spending hours at US Bank trying to send money comes to mind...
Thanks!
Maybe try Western Union? Perhaps they can pay directly into an account?

Assuming it is not a scam -
You can go through UBS - https://www.ubs.com/ch/en/swissbank/...off-order.html . you might have to go in person as your account doesn't have cash but you have it in hand.
Or put the cash in your bank account, do a transfer from your online banking tool
Ok sounds about right. I was hoping I could skip some steps but I guess not.
All of my university affiliated payments are handled through email for whatever reason. Thank you for your concern.
Thanks everyone for the quick responses!
The Post has red payment slips that you can use if you only want to deal with cash. You fill out both sides of the slip with all the relevant info and hand over the cash. Here's a little explanation:

Look for the slips on the side counter with the pen. They don't keep them at the main windows because you should have them filled out before you approach the window.
Go to the PO, fill out a payment slip, pay, done.
