How to type at @ with a german version keybord

dear EF friends, i dont know if you have the same problem as me or not, but i just can not find out how to type the at @ with german version keybord, and i mistaken z to y always..... can somebody help. i googled, but the tip there is not helping which is press ctrl +alt then 2.....

On mine it is AltGr 2

alt-gr 2

Tom

@ is shift + the key 2nd right of the L

Not on mine, that would be "à"

You could try ctrl alt Q as well.

alt + 64 is the universal alternative.

Only annoying if you have a laptop keyboard

on a German keyboard from Germany it's ctrl+alt+q

I just swapped my my Z and Y buttons, they come of easy enough...

Here you go: @

Copy/paste it as many times as you need

On my keyboard it is alt + @ symbol. Get a proper keyboard.

Mine was purchased here in Basel, whether it is "German" vs "Swiss German" I don't know for certain but I imagine it is the latter...

For me, @ is alt gr + 2 (shift yields ")

But I LIKE having öéüèäà available to me.

superman......

Yepp, that's the Swiss keyboard.

Swiss:

German:

thanks to all, my works with ctrl+alt then press Q.

thanks again

Or you just change the keyboard language to whatever layout you are used to and magically everything is where it's supposed to be.

I once had to type with a French keyboard...I couldn't spell for shy*e! I felt like a dyslexic typist with tourette. (and no, I don't type with a French now )

Keep in mind there is the swiss-german keyboard, and the swiss-french keyboard, which of course differ in themselves and also differ from the German and the French keyboards.

ps--this thread is right up there with 'how to boil water' thread.
