I hate my bed.

Hello fellow sleep lovers! I truly love sleep, but i find the strange european space foam mattesses quite uncomfortable compared to the king size, pillow top, super conforming spring mattesses of the States. Does anyone know where you can get a bed of midwestern caliber in Switzerland?

Thanks allot!

Jess

We bought our`s in Austria i think the store was Conforama they are fantastic, but be warned very expensive

We got our spung mattress from Lipo. Cost about CHF 500 for a queensize. We have now switched to a hard foam Swiss mattress that we both prefer.

You can order an authentic Heavenly Bed from the www.Westin.com site. They have European delivery. Not cheap, but not insanely expensive, either.

I think that Sheraton may also sell their version in Europe for a bit less.

Good luck!

I dont know if it was bought in the midwest, but its from the US

As long as it is a cal .22 >>>>50 cal. for canadian

Bed prices are astronomical here.

I've just bought a new bed. I wanted a Sealy and it was 4000 CHF just for the mattress in Basel.

Ended up ordering from the UK from a shop near Dover. A top of the range superking cost about 1000 GBP. A friend was coming from Dover with a van, so we got him to collect it on the way past.

There are lots of online bed specialists in the UK with good prices. If you have a way of getting it shipped then you can get a great deal.

Go to Ikea for your spring mattress. I don't like the foam thing they sell here. We have the Sultan Hasselback and it's very comfy. http://www.ikea.com/ch/de/catalog/ca...bedroom/10632/

Try this --- their beds are really good.

I like memory foam, if you can't afford the whole mattress just get the memory foam mattress topper from Walmart. They might even ship to a store near you!

Aldi do them too.

We too use Sultan box type mattresses with springs... very good and cheap too

Foam mattresses are not unique to Europe. When we were living overseas when our kids were young they had foam mattresses.

When on holiday recently I slept well on one of those "heavenly beds" but I disliked how high it was off the ground.

If you want something completely different in a foam mattress, try this.

You'd be more than welcome to share mine.

Funny, especially with the leering avatar'!

I got a memory foam topper because I didn't want to fork out for a memory foam mattress straight away. Now I fond it difficult to sleep on anything else.

It does warm and mould to your body, making you feel a bit swallowed. But no tossing and turning, or aches and pains.

LOL to this

Can you post a picture of it please

Yokine this is for you Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hehehe

I'm in general agreement with the posters answering the OP. Bed prices are absurd in Switzerland. Don't waste your time looking. I bought a top-notch pocket sprung mattress with bum-gripping foam on top from the Atlas furniture warehouse in the big commercial centre north-east of Mulhouse and saved a fortune.

Cheers
