Otherwise, be specific what kind of Eastern European stuff do you particularly need ?

Thank you, but I am from Geneva, as implied in the title of this post. Those shops are in the German part of Switzerland. I'm from the French part and don't wish to venture out into krautland just for a packet of pierogi or paluszki.
I'll check out the food section in Globus for sure, thanks for the tip. I'm looking for Polish/Ukrainian stuff in general. Makowiec, kasza gryczana and ser bialy are things I'm unable to find in regular shops.
I've heard 'rumours' of a great shop near the Russian consulate in Geneva which stocks russian, polish and romanian stuff.
I've also found this shop, but the website puts me off.
I have a Polish friend, here in Geneva, she goes at Sputnik
I did a search for Polish shops, but it just came back 'Mr Sheen'

Yes, that's what makes searches more difficult. Also being a 'pole' x).
That's where I found the Perla shop. Sputnik seems to be the best one though. Bigger, more stuff, more varied etc.
Your link makes a good point about making your own 'white cheese'. It's easy to make since you can buy unpasteurised milk at swiss farms/markets.
My mum is visiting me and she has just prepared some cabbage for tomorrow's pierogi. Yum yum.
There are many shops selling Russian and Polish food in Geneva. The best among them are:
"Food City" Plainpalais, boulevard du Pont-d'Arve 28, 1205 Genève
"Chez Ashanti" Eaux-Vives, rue de Montchoisy 23, 1207 Genève
"Pam" Meyrin, promenade de Champs-Fréchets 15, 1217 Meyrin
Usually you can find there pierogi, twaróg, sausages "Sokołów", beer "Żywiec" and hundreds of other delicacies.
By the way the shop "Food City" at Plainpalais is open everyday, includung Sunday , from 8 am to 2 am, sometimes to 5 am.

That's a goldmine for me! Thank you!!! I will visit both of the Geneva ones you suggested- perhaps not Meyrin since I don't know that area too well.
By the way "La Perla" is quite close to "Food City" Plainpalais. The advantage of Pam in Meyran is significantly lower prices, but the product range is also smaller.
There is a Russian food shop Katousha next to Russian Consulate. Also in Plainpalais in front of Unimail and UBS. There is a huge shop at the corner selling magazines, cigarettes, etc. They have a wide choice of Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian food. Open daily and very late. It is at the crossroad.
What about the Zurich, Aargau, and Luzern areas?
I am looking for Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Baltic (Lithuanian, Latvian) kinds of foods.
Like dumplings, zeppelins, chips, thin sausages, specialty pickles, candies and similar.
DWA Bio store in Adliswil is my favourite.
With Lakomka I never have luck, was there 3 times and they didnt have what I needed, but it's a popular one.
I havent been to the new one (Kopernik) yet, but has excellent reviews.
