I echo what others have said that it depends on what type of bike you are looking for. Higher end mountain bikes and racing bikes will be covered by Welcome Cycles and Cycling Lounge in Zug. For a more diverse selection M.Way in Zugerland is good. I've never spoken English in any of these stores, but I can't imagine that they would not be able to.
Alternatively, read/watch some reviews and choose a 'direct to consumer' brand like Canyon, Commencal, YT etc, who produce amazing bikes.
I may be wrong, but apart from the high-end, high-price stuff, most brands have sold out for this season long ago, if you order one now.

Many are sold out. I ended up buying lightly used bikes as I was not willing to wait too long and have changing delivery dates

Yeah, that was a truly ridiculous recommendation and maybe Mirca just didn't see the price. For that money you can get a Specialized S-works.
Good luck. I was looking too and since corona virus, e-bikes have been very difficult to get: sold out in many places, long waiting lists and very high prices. Hoping that the supply chain normalises soon.

It's like buying a Bentley. If you have to ask about the price, you probably can't afford it anyway.
If you have a long commute, this will save enormous amounts of fuel - with fuel closing in above 2 CHF/l, it will practically pay for itself.

Full Disclosure: I have a Stromer ST3 which is marginally cheaper and I justify the purchase price by calculating the time I save commuting against my hourly rate...
I’ve been looking too, but I can’t justify the roughly CHF 4000+ starting prices that I see on so many. Especially because to go anywhere with my kid by bike, she’d be peddling pretty hard on her regular bike. And then my wife will want one as well.
I don’t really want an e-bike; I want something just to help boost me during the harder climb at the end of my journey home, or something to give me a bit more help to explore a fewer of the more challenging neighborhoods nearby.
Well, you can use your regular bike when you ride with your family.
Any bike enthusiast will tell you that you can't really have too many bikes ;-)
BTW: my co-worker fueled up this morning and paid 2.40 CHF/l for Diesel.
(VW Tourareg 3.0 with a 90l tank).
That will hurt a lot of people who aren't exactly in the top 5% median of earners.

Definitely don't get an e-bike to cycle with your kid when they are on a normal bike.
You'll make the trips so unpleasant for your child as however you try and avoid it, they'll be exhausted trying to keep up with you.
I do the opposite when cycling with my kids - I take panniers and load them up with something heavy but useful -camera equipment, water etc so I don't have an unfair advantage over them.
You actually get a kind of tow rope exactly for this
