I will soon be buying a piece of furniture from Ikea that will only be on sale for one day. The problem is I most probably will not be able to transport it to my apartment on the same day but I will be able to pick it up a few days after purchasing it. Does Ikea allow you to pay for a product and pick it up later? I don't speak any of the languages in which Ikea provides telephonic assistance so getting the required information is proving to be a challenge!
As far as I know, you can't.
But you can pay to have it delivered. If it's a big sale, it might still be cheaper than buying it at full price?
Thank you for the information.
They did this for us at the one in Aubonne... we returned about 3 days later with a bigger car (unexpectedly bought some chairs we found on sale.)
As you leave the registers and turn to the right, there's a counter where they handle various things including the rental vans. They were quite polite, stacked up our chairs and taped our name to the stack, then shoved 'em into a corner of the warehouse. This was about 14 or 15 months ago. Again, this was the Ikea closer to Lausanne (in Aubonne.)
Your reply makes me quite hopeful! Thanks.
