IKEA Wardrobe - No instructions - What to do ?

Hey,

I just bought a second hand 4-door Ikea wardrobe. There ́s only one tiny little problem - It came without instructions and the guy who sold it to me doesn ́t remember the model name. I have a lot of wood in my room but have no idea how to put it together - I ́ve exhausted my options - Tried to find the model on the online IKEA directory but NADA. Any tips on how i can solve this ? Any services I should be contacting ?

I know I should have thought about this before but then again....(it really IS a nice wardrobe... bah)

Thanks in advance for your help

Best Regards,

Ems

If you post a photo here, perhaps someone can help to tell you what model it is.

I've e-mailed Ikea before and requested English instructions for a sewing machine that I bought here in CH. They were really nice and e-mailed it to me in .pdf format.

So you could also try e-mailing them with a photo and perhaps they can tell you what model it is and e-mail to you the instructions.

Good luck!

The most common Ikea wardrobe model is the PAX. Here are some videos you can have a look at. You will get the idea quickly enough.

Hi,

my best friend has been working for IKEA for several years. He can assemble anything . Email him a picture of the wardrobe and he will be able to send written instructions to you. (I will let him know you want to contact him). I don't want to post his e-mail address here openly but if you PM me I will send it to you.

Cheers

If you google the model you can get the instructions on PDF for everything they sell

Take a very careful look at all the pieces, one of them usually has a sticky label with the model on it, if it's a 'kit' one.

And please post a photo of your pieces. I'm sure there are many forumites who have had to put together multiple ikea furniture items in the past, and will be able to identify the model for you...and once you have the model it's very easy to get the instructions to download...

Just use some logic (Ikea assembly is pretty standard), some strong glue and a hammer ...... and just bin any bits left over.

Or just call a male friend.

Well, something like a wardrobe could be complex and tricky without the instructions.

To the OP -- did you go on Ikea's website and look at their available wardrobes to see if they have something that might match the one you have?

find the instructions on the internet?

Did you see the wardrobe assembled? Or was it already taken apart?

A photo of the built unit might help Ikea identify it.

Very good idea, actually :-)

But I suggest the IKEA website. The assembly instructions for pretty much anything are to be found here:

http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_US/custome...tructions.html

to find the name, google search (image search) Ikea Wardrobe and you'll eventually find it.
