Importing a Ticket into the SBB app

I bought a train ticket from sbb.ch. Afterwards I downloaded the SBB app and would like to import the ticket into the SBB app. Is this possible? I have searched online but have not found any way of doing this.

I did a quick search and couldn't find a function for that either.

according to the website if you bought using the same Swisspass ID it should be available in the app.

Are tickets that were purchased on SBB.ch also shown in the SBB Mobile app?

Yes, as long as you purchased them using the same SwissPass login. There is an exception for some international tickets which can only be shown on SBB.ch. Your tickets are listed in the ‘Tickets & Travelcards’ tab.
iPhone users can also add all their purchased tickets directly to their Apple Wallets. These tickets will then appear automatically on the device’s home screen on the day that they are valid.

On the SBB app I sometimes buy tickets for my kids to travel alone. I screenshot the QR code and send it to my eldest via WA. It would be nice if there was a way to transfer it through the app since he has it on his phone.

If you can get the ticket into Apple Wallet you can transfer it easily.

I bought the ticket online without a Swiss pass ID. The ticket was sent to me by email but I can not find anyway to import it into apple wallet either.

Thanks to Bowlie I checked on the SBB phone app and it can be added when the QR code is displayed on the screen. There are three little dots (advanced options > show in wallet).

I hope that they will add the option to buy tickets for another person that would be connected to the SwissPass ID of this person. I've heard that it's already possible in ZVV app, but I haven't checked.

yes, but that only works once you have already imported the ticket into the SBB app which is my original question.

Based on the SBB Community forum answers this is not possible.
