I have 3 cars (2 of those with interchangeable plates). What are the best (cheaper) options on getting insurance for it?
Online? Agent?
Any feedback/experiences or insurers to avoid?
Thank you,
Tony

Independent brokers (i.e. humans ) are probably worse than direct insurance - they need to survive (based on commissions) and need a lot of time, comparatively speaking to produce a result. This would make them comparatively expensive to use.
Insurance company-tied brokers are different - by consolidating every single one of your insurance policies with a single company, you might be able to save on the _whole lot_ (global optimization vs local optimization)
FWIW, https://www.elvia.ch/ (which used to be Allianz24) is cheapest for me / my needs, special discounts with other insurers due to affiliation notwithstanding.
(General rule, no longer applicable to you: don't think that an employer discount gives you the best _market_ rate)
Given however the corporate re-structure we are going thru, it will no longer be an option... or I'll simply have to live with "market rates" and not change policy.
Once you have ball park figures from comapris and some quotes from direct insurer, pick up the phone a call the nearest Generalagentur of various insurance companies to meet an agent and get more quotes. YPu will be suprised how agents react once they see the offer of an other insurance company.
