Intellectual stimulation ... what gets your brain into working gear?
Do you ever get the impression your brain goes atrophic ... ?

Not atrophic but rather lethargic
When I spent too much time at work
I get a sort of mild panic attack if my brain doesn't have anything complicated to think about or sort out or is being stimulated by something awe inspiring, fascinating.
The people around me are kind of brain frozen too these days. Why don't we just all dive into hibernation I say !!!
Trying to work out what females are thinking; bit of stimulation maybe but not sure about the intellectual side as there doesn't appear to be a lot of logic in their actions.
A'hem. Sounds complicated. Let me ponder that for a while !!!
At the moment the thing that gets my brain working most is trying to learn German.
When I come out of a lesson my brain is buzzing and I feel exhilarated.

Catching up on some reading
I'd say my intellectual acuity has gone down over the last few years. I'm in Switzerland because at my last job I was 'reorganized' to do something that I considered to be the intellectual equivalent of a assembly line work. If it weren't for the fact that I was trying to work on my own projects on my own time, I'd have gone round the twist.
My son is more intellectually stimulating than my work. He certainly keeps me thinking with all those "what for" questions.
