Is it necessary to de-register in Germany ?

Hey guys,

I am wondering if it is a legal requirement to de-register in Germany if I am planning to move to Switzerland ? I know it's logical to de-register when one is not living in the country but following are the reasons I am asking:

1) I would like to keep my apartment (address) in Germany, will sublet it till my probation period is over, to be sure I have a place to come back if things go south in Swiss

2) I haven't filed tax returns of previous years, meaning I also have to keep my Bank account in Germany for the upcoming salary of December and tax returns

3) I have an account in stock market app which is exclusively German and I can't close my positions as I am deep in losses!

I just wonder what would go wrong if I don't de-register in Germany as my tax will be deducted in Switzerland and salary will also come in the Swiss account so theoretically nothing can go wrong or am I missing something ?

If you don't deregister, you can't claim MWST back when shopping in Germany.
