Just avoid drink tab water from a standpipe if there is a tablet bearing the expression "Kein Trinkwasser". Tablets like this are very rarely. You can find them countryside / in de mountains.

Anyone who asks if the water is safe to drink here, has obviously NEVER watched Bear Grylls. The man drinks "water" by cutting open a camels intestines and squeezing the "water" from semi-digested grasses. Ever since watching that shit, i can drink water from any tap... almost anywhere. 'Cept India. No tap-drinking there. Would rather imitate Bear. Gettin off-track here but it's all true. The end.
