Just tried to pay and app fails to connect. I have the UBS version.
Mine too. No connection but you can still pay.
“The UBS TWINT app is currently unavailable or only available to a limited extent due to technical issues at UBS. UBS is working full steam to find a solution as soon as possible so that you can twint again without any issues. We will inform you about the status of this message.”
I’m with ZKB TWINT. I pay all my parking requirements with TWINT and their latest version won’t let me automatically use GPS to indicate where I am parking with the message “The current location could not be determined”.
After some frustration I found a compass icon in the bottom right of the parkway app where TWINT sends one. This works out where I am and I can park again…
Maybe your Twint app doesn’t have access to GPS because it is forbidden in Settings?
There’s a idiotic default setting in Android that app permissions are revoked if you don’t use them during for 2-3 months
The only upside is that this idiotic Android default setting can be deactivated.
Are you sure it’s only 2-3 months? I thought it’s more like a year.
UBS Twint is working on my iPhone 12 atm.
Not sure. twint lost the access to GPS after summer vacations. I don’t use it daily for parking but at least once a month.
Same happened to uber. I don’t use uber in Switzerland, only when traveling. I learned about the app not having access to the GPS at a very inconvenient time.
Some gossip via inside paradeplatz. Apparently, it was an AC failure:
