Italian/UK physiotherapy in Switzerland

Hi everyone, I’m an Italian/British dual national with a BSc and MSc in Physiotherapy from St Mary’s University, UK, plus an FCP qualification. I graduated 4 years ago and have been working since.

I’m considering moving to Switzerland and have a few questions:

  • Has anyone with a UK physiotherapy qualification gone through recognition in Switzerland since the 2025 UK–Swiss agreement?
  • Did the new agreement make recognition easier/different from before?
  • Were you asked to do any additional training or exams?
  • When did you need to provide the B2 language certificate?
  • Did your MSc, FCP, or work experience help?
  • How long did the whole process take?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually done it.
