Jailbreaking BBC iPlayer on Mac OS X?

Has anyone had success with being able to add downloaded BBC iPlayer content to iTunes? I am trying to use Get iPlayer Automator but always seem to get timeouts on the socket connection.

Has anyone had success with this program or another one on Mac OS X?

Using a VPN it worked for me, but when I turned the VPN off I had problems with the Proxy even when it was set to 'Provided', sorry can'r be of more help.

Thanks for your response. I am using a VPN as well and simply downloading and viewing content on my Mac within iPlayer works fine. However, I would like to be able to stream the downloaded content from the Mac to my TV, which is not supported by iPlayer.

Personally I am using a MBP with OS 10.7.5, then going through the VPN and downloading, the version of GiA is 1.5, Proxy set to 'None' and it is a fresh download of GiA.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the info. I now know that the technology does indeed work. I will reinstall GiA and try again.

Update: I was not able to get GiA to work with the VPN service that I use. However, while fiddling around, I discovered that it does work for me if I do not use the VPN and set Proxy to 'Standard'. My Mac is busily downloading & saving to iTunes as I speak!
