I'm interested in metal jewelry making classes (not beading) in/around Zurich. I'm not looking to go for a degree at a serious art school, just some recreational classes or a multi-week course. I've done a lot of searching, including the Migros school which I've heard might offer it, but can't quite find exactly what I'm looking for in this area. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Thanks!
I have a similar interest, and found this: I can't give the direct link, as it will expire when the class date has passed, but goto the:
Culture&Creativity section of the Klubschule site; I have not found that the site works completely in English, so just leave it in german.
Scroll to the results section, which will be unfiltered, and in the upper left you should see a search box. Type in Silber where is says Kurs Suchen...
, and you will see: "Silberschmuck aus Metal Clay", or "Art Clay Silver workshop" listings, around 83 results, all around central Switzerland.
I have tried signing up for one of the single day events, about 6 hours, but they never fill up, and are subsequently cancelled. Need to find others interested.
3-wishes might have some recommendations for you as well, but short of apprenticing under a jeweller, I don't know if there is much more you can do.
You can, however, look into official classes in all manner of jewelry making. Free-Form Artists, in Montreux, offer several classes, some pretty reasonably priced, others more, but it seems the harder thing to come by is the time to take the classes, not so much the fees required.

Though it is situated in Montreux, the longest course is 3 days, .., most of us can scrape together 3 or 4 days of vacation, so, perhaps this is worth a shot for you? I know I will certainly try a course there myself.
Good luck
I love this place. It's across the Limmat from the main trainstation station, behind the Landesmuseum. They have many kinds of cools things going on there. If you happen to go, please report back on what you find.
The link posted by Phos looks promising, though. Would be great to have a similar thing in the Bern area!
