Is there somewhere to buy cornbread mix near Lausanne? Preferably Jiffy. I know the American store in Nyon sometimes has it but they haven't lately.

There's a few online stores for American foodstuff: afoodave.ch, www.americanmarket.ch and www.junkfood.ch come to mind.
In case you cannot source your Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, here are a couple of copycat recipes:
For cornmeal, use 'polenta' (course, fine, or a mix, depending on your preferences, and normal, not quick cooking).
