Hi,
I am looking at getting a Jumbo card but I was under the impression that it was a simple loyalty card.

When I went to apply for the card I found the questions to be more intrusive than I would have thought, leading me to believe it is more than a loyalty card.
Does anyone have any experience in applying for this card?
Thanks
TheIslandMan
That's a not loyalty card but a payment card, so I'm guessing they are going to ask similar questions to a credit card.
It’s their own credit card scheme. Many years ago credit cards weren’t generally used here so some companies brought in their own to be used exclusively in their stores. Jumbo was one of them.
The key phrase in the card description is:
Avec la JUMBO Card vous payez simplement et sans espèces auprès de 41 filiales.
With the JUMBO Card you pay simply and without cash with 41 subsidiaries.
Manor is another one who uses the same system, though I think both will take other credit cards nowadays.
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
From their website this seems to be the only card they offer so I guess there is no standard loyalty card!
Only cards I know that you could call loyalty ones are the Migros Cummulus and Coop Supercard cards. You earn points with both of these, no fees and they don’t do payments.
Thank you for the reply. I have both of them already
With the Manor card, which you can also use at Jumbo, you get coupons, so it is also a loyalty card. Personally I find Manor a bit of a hard sell. They give you discount coupons but force you to come by again to make use of them with the intention of making you buy additional products.
