Spirit airlines is kaput! Good riddance! i flew them once. horrible experience. fely like cattle. gave them a second chance. nada. niet. nien. hell no. never flew them again. frontier was the lowest i am willing to fly, in an emergency.

Doubt it, they flew Airbus aircraft.
Airbus has sold a pretty decent number of planes to US airlines. Airbus took advantage of boeing 737 MAX screwup.

That’s the spirit.
They overextended themselves they couldn’t keep revenues in line with expenses. And most importantly they were universally hated, in part due to lack of customer service and in part as their scheduling was so bad they were almost always late.
The market has taught them a lesson.
If you look back at People Express, they were universally loved! But they still couldn’t survive in the US domestic market.
The low cost model doesn’t work in the USA.
