We are one week, post-op, and really hard to keep a Lab quiet for three weeks (minimum)...
Has anyone any experience with a dog rupturing its ACL or knee ligaments? We opted for TTA surgery and wondering what others may have done or would recommend. Seems a lot of controversy and ultimately we went with our Vet's recommendation.
Almost three weeks, post op, and we should be able to start swimming in the pool by the end of this week. That will help with recovery AND help with extra energy. For an 11 yr old, she is very active still and it is hard to keep her quiet day after day. A few hours of swimming will be good for all of us!
Lili does not seem to have any pain in the back leg, but we are also not letting her walk too much yet. First xray will be later this week.
Still happy to hear if anyone else has any experience with TTA or TPLO surgery.

No experience, so I can't help...
... but I just wanted to say that I'm happy to hear that the surgery went well and to wish Lili a continued good recovery.
FYI, whenever one of mine is on restricted exercise, I turn to 'Spass Mit Hund' for ideas on games, inside and out, to keep the mutts occupied:
