We have some new people from the U.S. joining our team on Monday. As part of the welcome day, I normally put out a big basket with Swiss chocolates, the small, individually wrapped one-bite pieces.
Now, one of the members eats kosher, and I do not want him to feel left out. So, where do I get good kosher chocolate? On the internet, I found some info on special chocolates that are kosher - but are they good? Does anyone know whether any of the regular stuff is kosher?
Thanks for your help

Coop and Migros sell kosher choclate. However - it's not marked (as it would be in the states).
Quality is a matter of taste - some people like milk chocolate, some like their chocs with high cacao content.
Lindt's "Excellence" line (cuba, madagascar) is kosher.
You can find lots more in http://www.icz.org/templ.php?id=155#S (it's in German, but choclate is truly a global word)
P.S - Thomy Mayonnaise is for some reason very popular with visiting Americans (it's kosher, of course)
There is a kosher supermarket on Weststr in Wiedikon, over the road from the synagog. The Coop in Goldbrunnenplatz carries a lot of kosher goods too as it is a heavily Jewish polulated area. They have a special kosher freezer etc.
Thanks a lot! That's exactly the type of information that I am looking for - especially as I assume thta, at some point, he will want to eat something different than just chocolate, too.
Have a fun day

You can also get the kosher-labelled chocolate at Jelmoli.
The IGZ list is good to give your team member because it is a list of all supermarket packaged food that is kosher.
He can also get other kosher-labelled food at Jelmoli - crackers and soup packets etc.
The Weststrasse shop is really useful because it carries fresh kosher bread, meat and cheese as well as frozen and tinned products. It's open till late (apart from Friday).
"Camille Bloch" chocolates, and among them the "Torino" line is very popular and kosher.
