Hi All,

Hope you all doing well.

What are the required documents when applying for L Permit(short term stay) as a EU citizen? I have 10 months job contact.

I'm planning to book a service apartment for the first month of my stay, would that be ok to apply for the permit? While I find suitable apartment.

Can one start working after applying for L permit? meaning the permit is issued on the same day? The card will arrive later.

Sorry if this was answered else where in the forum, I did quick search with no luck.

Welcome to the Forum. I believe as an EU citizen you register at the municipality and then can start working. Make sure to sort your Swiss health insurance within 30 days or the municipality can sign you up to a company of their choice.

30 days? I thought it was 3 months. Or is it a shorter period when the contract is for less than a year?
