The orange suspension light has appeared in our 05 Discovery 3 and we would like to get it looked at.
So far they have fixed an electrical issue, a leaky sun roof and installed a new set of brakes. All three times, my husband has been shocked by how reasonable their prices were. He was expecting much, much worse. We have only positive things to say about them.
Do you happen to know if they speak English? We're new here so our French is still at an elementary level.
I am worried that my lack of French could mean that any mechanics take advantage of me.
I know I'm not really replying to this thread but posting a related question as I don't seem to be able to create a new thread...
I'm looking for reliable mechanic where I can bring my Land Rover Discovery for a few check outs in GENEVA. She is almost 15 yo, and I don't want to bring it to the likes of Autobritt that I'm sure they will find loads of things I should change for quite a hefty price.
Thanks

*Now ended, found one just down the road in Aigle.

He does a lot of work on older british cars and is very reasonable (definitely cheaper than Autobritt)!
He's usually pretty busy, but worth a try.
Can you still raise and lower the car and when at normal height is it straight or lopsided?
I have this problem on my Disco 3 but after a quick reset it goes away - till the next time.
On my 10 year old Range Rover the compressor failed completely, but rather than mortgage the house to have it replaced, I opted for a spring suspension conversion. You can't raise or lower the car but it still has excellent off road capability. Have a look here.

Also Google the problem. Chances are it can be easily fixed by yourself and you can be certain others have had the same problem as well. I've saved a small fortune over time this way.
I have been in Switzerland 3 years and owned a Discovery 3 years so I am now well on my way to becoming a competent mechanic! With all the self service garages here it's quite simple to pick up a wrench and get hands-on.
