So apparently the school I took my Language Exam with, informed me that their Courier company has lost the exam papers and they don’t know when and if the papers would be found.
They offered me a new exam date free of cost but I have to leave Switzerland soon so I can’t take the exam again with them and I don’t know when and if I will be back.I politely requested for a refund/voucher but the school denied stating that loosing the exam papers or my travel situation is not their problem.
In this case, do I legally have any grounds of getting a refund from them?
I would inform them that you expect them to cover the costs incurred from taking the exam again. This includes your travel tickets back to CH from wherever you are going, hotel, etc; as all these costs have been incurred due to their subcontractor losing a document.
Kindly offer that if they don't want to cover all those costs to make it right, you would be so kind as to close the matter with a full refund of the exam.
I asked them very politely stating my visa and travel issues and they denied straight away. I even asked them for a voucher which I could use for another exam with them but they are only offering another free A2 exam.
