Lawyer Recommendation for Early Termination of Commercial Real Estate Contract

Hi All,

I'm writing on behalf of a friend.

TL;DR: My friend is in dispute with the former landlord/manager of commercial real estate she leased, and wishes to get assistance from a lawyer to understand and resolve said dispute. Can anyone recommend an English-speaking lawyer in the Aarau area who can assist her with a commercial leasing issue?

More detail:

My friend leased some commercial/retail space for 5 years and her business did not work out, so 3 years in she has terminated the lease. I cannot say if she followed the terms of the lease or not, since I don't even play a lawyer on TV.

However the former landlord/manager is sending her bill after bill for items that seem quite ridiculous (for instance, a bill because the windows got rain on them and needed to be cleaned; a much larger bill to remove mold that she reported to them and requested they clean years ago, etc...).

She wished to hire a lawyer who can assist her in:

understanding what her rights are, understanding what her duties are, communicating with the former manager/landlord in a productive manner.

Any references for an English-speaking lawyer who can help with a commercial real estate dispute would be greatly appreciated, preferably in the Aarau area if possible.

Do they also cover commercial lets?

As far as I know, yes.

Even if not, they will very likely know of lawyers who do.

If your friend has legal insurance, she can call them for a recommendation. I got a good lawyer a few years ago for a matter which was well resolved. I didn't have a clue where to start looking for one otherwise.
