I`ve ordered a cupboard from Conforama on the 2nd of October (at one of the stores) and still haven`t received it. Every time I call them they extend the deadlines which really drives me crazy.
Is there any way to influence/punish these reluctant guys?
I ordered something from Conforama too, in August, it was delivered promptly. However two parts were missing and the item was then out of stock when I asked for the missing parts, so the replacement parts had to be ordered... from Poland, and couldn't be posted to me due to silly customs regulations. They had to come on one of their regular deliveries by truck!
Two months later I am still waiting for the parts to be delivered. Conforama have since received them, but they still have to get them to me!
I always email Conforama as they never answer the phone and that way I have a written record. They are also slow in replying to anything. As soon as I started credit card chargeback proceedings for that item they started to respond.
They insist on delivering the missing parts to me by truck with 2 guys, (their drive is over 50 kilometres to get here) and not posting them by parcel post. To me that seems neither economical nor ecological... but it's their choice and they have to pay for it!
But then, they may even so try to optimize things by filling the truck and making as many deliveries as possible on that route. That might take much longer (and still be more expensive to them) than sending by parcel post.
You will only get satisfaction if you dress and smell like a French farmer, and drive to the shop in a tractor, with 6 old car tyres on display, ready to burn in front of their main door.
This always works: the protest fire is shown on the TV news and then President Hollande phones the shop and tells them to get a move on with the order.
I think I will write them a letter and see if it works. Surprisingly, it is not the first company that doesn`t know about existence of customer service.
Probably, possibly.. in any case... missing parts have now been 'hand delivered' and checked and the piece of furniture has now finally been assembled! No more furniture purchases from Conforama for a while for me!
