People on here have often mentioned that Youtube is an excellent resource to learn a new skill.
Yesterday, in the news in the U.K., an eleven-year old taught himself piano up to Grade 8, in five months, just using Youtube.
That is seriously impressive. He’s obviously a bit of a prodigy but still.

I had the idea to learn the 3rd movement from Moonlight sonata a few months ago and didn’t manage to play the first two bars, so hats off to him.

I presumed that if he was up to grade 8 level, he could also read music as sight-reading a piece is one of the requirements of these exams.
One of my kids can’t really read music but learns pieces like you you. He plays but has dropped lessons so won’t learn to read music.
Another one was more of the ten-minutes a day maximum and although he could read music and play beautifully, piano was not for him.
Having said that, there are quite a few famous musicians who can’t read music.
Yeah. I know some quite talented people who can listen to a piece of music and instantly play it on the piano. They can even transpose the key on the fly and never took any formal lessons.
My grandmother was one of those people. She was a fabulous pianist but couldn’t read music, she played everything by ear.
