Leaving CH for a while and coming back

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question regarding a short leave of 45 days and then relocate to a new address; I would like to leave my place but yet keep for these days the address valid till my return when I will have to enter my new place locate to a different municipality.

I will stay out of CH for this month and half and I would like to have the possibility to redirect the mail to some-sort-of-service that might allow me to check from internet all the mails and eventually collect the paper version later on when I will be back..

Guess is a sort of digital version of a postal box or similar; has anyone heard of such service somewhere? perhaps post.ch is offering some viable solution similar to what I am looking for?

You can certainly tell the post office that you'll be out of the country for a 1.5 months and they can hold your mail.

But I've never heard of anyone providing the service you describe. I've always relied on family/neighbours.

If you’re going to be in the same place you could possibly get your mail forwarded to you there by the post office.

Don’t expect the same thing as the US, I would guess it’s rare to non-existent here. That said, the post office might offer such a service, you’d need to check with them since they seem to be changing their system.

Probably, but only seems to be for business customers. Whether they still do it for individuals …

Well that took me two minutes to find. I’m sure the OP can do likewise.

I use PEAX: https://peax.ch/privat/

They scan mail for you, possible to request the original, and stuff like bank cards/non-scannable items they send you for free (you can choose the address where the original will be sent , e.g. to a friend - Umleitungadresse in peax profile settings)

There is also a post app from Klara - they do the same -

Post used to offer it to individuals, then they aquired the majority of Klara which offers the same service.
