Legal support insurance TCS Assista vs others?

I have been long a customer of TCS Assista legal support insurance (Rechtsschutz). I have had good and bad experiences, depending on the legal expert they throw me at in each case.

I'm currently in the middle of a very bad experience and was wondering whether you know and can recommend another legal support insurance ...

A new insurance co won't cover something that has already occurred

Can't you pick a lawyer, specially when you know one with whom you had a good experience?

Also, is this for traffic cases only or general legal insurance?

Ah good point! but at least can pay better value for the future.

Good point, I have had excellent experience with one lawyer.

The beef is with a moving company, they made many installation mistakes and gross negligence, they said they were going to fix them for free (written in an email) and then later fix only a part of the problems and send a full invoice while claiming at the same time that the work was done for free and for "good will".

I have an email confirming they will do A, B, C, D for X. Then they come and do A, B and send a bill for X. The TCS assista lawyer doesnt get it and claims we have a language barrier ... while all emails exchanged are in German

I am with Assista as well but plan to move base on my so-so experiences and some horror stores from "friends of friends".

A review by one of the Swiss French magazines (can't remember which one at the moment) in 2019 suggests that Dextra is the best in terms of offer and pricing.

Have a look.

We are with AxA Arag and I have always been happy.

The only thing is they have a tendency to settle (i.e. pay me whatever amount I am after) versus going after the "bad guys" which is annoying as sometimes I want "justice". But anyway, aside from that we have always liked them.

Swiss law is about compromise, the concept of going after the 'bad guys' is alien.

Yeah sure but it's not as satisfactory and people don't learn so they will just behave like that again and at times get away with it.
