I am looking for a library in Lausanne. Not neccessarly to borrow books, but as a very quite place to read my own book. So, if you know library in Lausanne please give me the adress. Links will be fine too.
Hi Everyone.
http://www.lausanne.ch/view.asp?docI...362&language=E All information on libraries in Lausanne, actually lots of information in general about Lausanne. They do have English books, but you need to check how to get a library pass, I think there is a minimum amount of time to live in the canton to get a library pass.
I just become a member of the cantonal library at UNIL which is connected with the one in Riponne as well. You just need to have some sort of permit of living here and then you can be a member for free. You can register at the library at UNIL.
Hope it helps.
UNIL=university of Lausanne?? are the public allow to enter the library locating inside? Is it only for adult or for kids as well please?
Yes. It is the Uni of Lausanne. Public is allowed but of course most of the users are students. I haven't seen any kids there so far, so am not sure whether it is allowed or not. I heard the one in Riponne is the one mainly for the public.
Thank prishe & Stomplover.
Where is this Universty of Lausanne located? I saw a big building when i went to Riponne once, just around the metro station.
And is it possible to join with permit N?
