i recently moved to Zug from India and looking for information regarding following

1. best way to search apt in Zug - till now nothing i found concrete

2. school admission info

3. any activity groups like football, cycling or running to meet expat

The property market in Zug has recently become quite difficult. When we moved here 8 years ago, stock was plentiful, you chose what you liked and the deal was done. I'm hearing now of waiting lists etc. In addition to HomeGate try 'Alle Immobilien' and 'Amtsblatt'. However, if you only focus on Zug town you will struggle. There is little supply and it's high in demand. Go a bit further out in the canton to places like Unter/Oberageri, Rotkreuz, Baar, Cham or Risch/Buonas.

I'm not sure what schooling route you are planning or the age of your kid/s, but for local school each town/village will (I think) have their own school and you will be obliged to send your kid/s there. (Some more learned members may be able to fill in the gaps as Mrs GB deals with the schooling of our daughter) You can connect directly with the school and set up an appointment with the school director and then discuss your needs and the offerings of the school. I'm guessing all schools will have a website or a section on the gemeinde website with all the details to start getting you up to speed.

When we first moved here, meeting other expats really helped us settle in, get comfortable and built a support bubble. Generally it works by meeting one, who introduces you further etc etc. In summer, hanging out at the badis (Swimming areas) is a surefire way to meet people. Work colleagues are also a good way to start socialising. There are also a lot of Facebook groups for expats.We have met Swiss people through expat friends or through them being neighbours etc. It's a little bit more difficult, but if you do end up becoming neighbours with Swiss people, do introduce yourselves and make an effort, the Swiss really appreciate that. (This is all my experience, by the way!) Once you start with a few friends you will quickly discover further groups (Social, sport etc) so don't worry about that.

Welcome to Zug, i'm sure you will love it here. I wrote you a private message regarding an apartment. There is also an Indian group in Zug who play badminton and cricket , but at the moment due to corona no such events happening.

When I first arrived in Zug, I also didn't know many people but I got myself a bike and biked around the lake quite often.
