Hi everyone. A few years back I was here in this very forum educating myself on Swiss road legislation about permitted width of the load you drive.
Wondering if it's still the case that "load" being carried in the rear of a vehicle, still can not protrude on each side more than the width of the vehicle (or the width showing on the vehicle registration papers).
Any change to that or any loophole?
Thanks
What if the vehicle is registered as a lorry (above 3.500 Kg)?
Why not explain what you need to transport and share the dimensions?
I have a pickup truck above 3500 Kg which is registered as a lorry.
The vehicle's width on the registration paper is 220 cm.
I want to transport a truck-camper/wohnkabine in the loading bed of the vehicle.
The width of the whonkabine is 240 cm.
I seem to understand such a setup would be intended as transporting a load, and I'd like to understand if a lorry can transport a load 20 cm wider than the vehicle's width or else.
Thanks
No.
Perhaps with special permission.
