Lockers in Lenzerheide

Does anyone know, if there is anywhere one can store a small backpack for the day in Lenzerheide ski area?

No that I am aware of... If its only a small backpack why not wear it?

if you rent skis for the day, they might let you store your bag with them. you could always find the lost and found for the ski service and have a friend turn it in for you, then you pick it up later, risky but it has worked before.

All trainstations in ski villages have massive lockers or a porter who will sort the bags for a fee.

Lenzerheide does not have a train station. This might be available at the bus depot, but this is a little bit from Access to the ski area. If I was going to Lenzerheide by bus I would get off at Churwalden and take the seat lift up towards Statzerhorn to save time getting on the pistes. As far as I am aware there is no lockers in Churwalden, but maybe somebody can correct me on this.

In that case I refer you to Javo's comment below.

well I have a weekend planned, that involves meeting friends at Lenzerheide on Saturday and different friends in Arosa on Sunday and planned on staying in Chur on Saturday nite as wanted to get an early start on Sunday. All to be managed by train/bus. I need to carry enough stuff to overnight, I can carry when I ski but was hoping not to have too.

In that case leave what you don't need at the train station in Chur, pick it up that night when you get back to Chur.

Both Lenzerheide and Arosa are served by bus connections so you can then pick up your stuff at the Chur train station on Sunday evening before getting on your train.

Enjoy your weekend!

is there a bus to Arosa? I thought there was a train that leaves from outside the Chur station. Has that changed?

My apologies, I've only been to Arosa the once and I drove up. I just checked the SBB site and indeed it is a train to Arosa. It is definitely a bus to Lenzerheide though.

Looks like a smashing weekend for hitting the slopes, enjoy it.

For future reference if anyone needs one in the future, there are lockers at Lenzerheide post, for 3 francs for 12 hours.

Weekend was amazing, great weather, busy but not as bad as I expected.

I will be skiing in Lenzerheide for 3 days in 2 weeks time, but will stay in a youth hostel thats supposedly 25 min by foot from the Bus stop..so was wondering if there is any place near the ski lift where I can store my skis so I don't have to tow them back to the hostel..any info is appreciated

You said your self the hostel is 25 minutes from the Bus stop not the Pistes! It may be much closer. Also there is a ski bus that goes around picking people up and dropping people off for free... I imagine you will be able to easily get your skis back to the hostel and keep them in the ski room there.

In Lenzerheide there are so many places to get off the mountain you should always be able to ski to one close enough to where you are staying.

@ eire..I hope I do get to my hostel easily..

by the way did anyone live in the jungendherberge of Lenzerheide...he might have some relevant info for me..

Thanks ..

Thanks a lot for sharing this information.

Just two questions :

1) Is the locker big enough to put your ski and boots in it ?

2) How long does it take to walk from Lenzerheide post until nearest Lift?

Not sure, but I doubt it. Maybe the boots would fit but not the skis.

There is a bus that takes you to all the lifts.

1) I am not sure if you can store the long skis in the locker at the post office but what I did was: I asked once at the tourism information office and lnice ady who worked there offered me to keep my large bag for a whole day.

2) It is about 200m walk down the road from Lenzerheide Post to Valbella skilift.

Its about a 2km walk from Lenzerheide post to the Valbella ski lift. Fadail and Canols are closer. It is however a 200m walk from Valbella Post to Valbella ski lift . Don't get your posts mixed up!!!

And the ski bus goes both directions around the lake and serves all the access points to the mountains.
