Long term parking Basel airport

Hello all,

Does anybody have any advice/suggestions about where to park at Basel airport for 4 days and what it might cost? I have a very early flight and public transport isn't possible therefore I need to leave my car at or near the airport.

Many thanks.

Park on the French side. It's cheaper.

and to calculate the tariff:

A random search shows 4 days at the furthest out lot (5 mins walking to terminal) is 33 Euros.

The Swiss side cheapest fare for 4 days is 56 Francs.

Certainly better to do it in France, but the 5 minutes for F6 will maybe just about get you to the entrance to the carpark, from where, unless you're incredibly lucky it's going to be at least another five, possibly ten, minutes to find your car. And you'll have spent just as long looking for a space in the first place.

For a very early start it might not be quite so bad on either score, but worth bearing in mind.

Edit: Actually, I see that you've misread the website, F6 is quoted as 10 minutes walk anyway. Here's the English version .

Sorry, was speed-reading a google-translated page (didn't see it was in English from the start!) For us, whether it's 5 or 10 mins doesn't matter but I know in certain weather and with certain health conditions, that could be a consideration.

Usually park on F4. Way cheaper than the Swiss side, covered parking and about 3-4 minutes walk to the terminal depending on how fast you walk.

That's very helpful, thank you.

Another vote for F4 - your car stays under cover and clean. Worth the extra €10 that it costs for a four day stay (vs. F6).

I've noticed that there are *lots* of Swiss cars in F4 most days. They've also worked out that it's a much cheaper way of keeping their car clean & safe than paying a fortune for S1.

Great thanks
