I need to find a priest who would perform a ceremony for the 9th day since the passing of my mom.
This is proving to be quite difficult, as i have called all the temples here in Switzerland, and no help.
the prayer needs to be performed next Wednesday 14th April, in zurich.
I would really appreciate any help. As yet, we have been compromising on all our traditional customs, and ceremonies, at the very least i have to get one right.
thanks
Have you checked all the contacts
here yet? Or maybe contact the
guy here , he seems to know a fair bit... hope you find what you need!
Thanks i called 80% of those numbers, the problem is that Temple priests do not perform rituals associated with death.
Ok, there really is not much info around for these rituals..
Another one could be an Ashram in Ticino, though not sure if it's more for the new-age crowd - here .
And here's some more from the state, around page 75...
Well, this might be far-fetched, but maybe try to contact University Zurich - Indologie
Hope you will find what you are looking for eventually...
All the best
hi..,
One of my friend (HINDU) going to hindu temple in zurich.So..if you are still searching ,i can take it from him.
Let me know if you still want.
Sewsu
they don't? since when??
i lost my dad about 3 years ago and remember fetching the priest from the neighbourhood temple.
it was an Arya Samaj temple though, if that makes any difference... I am none too wise about the complexities of organized religion.
Irrespective of this, surely it's their job to find the right person. Maybe you should return to them and hand over the responsibility to them entirely. As religious/community leaders isn't this way up there on their job description?
i wish it was, but it is awful, mostly i get wrong numbers, or i have to call back, because they cannot find the contact details, and then its wrong.
when i wanted to get married, the temple in adliswil, wanted to charge me SFR 2 000, for the ceremony held in their then shabby hall.
There is the Indian association in Zurich, they might be of help or a atleast be a starting point:
