A room with a few strobes for portraiture that can be rented / shared would be great. Anyone know of anything?
I am looking for a public photography studio and/or darkroom in Basel.
You might want to look on Fotocommunity.de or Model-Kartei.de (German only). I am pretty sure that both have listings for studios in DE & CH. Rentals can really vary in price and there is everything from private persons to full-blown profi studios for hire (at least in Zürich area, I don't know about Basel).
A traditional processing darkroom might be harder to find, but you could check to see if there is a local university and if they have a fotoklub that uses it, maybe you can get in with one of the members. A friend of mine used to have access to the lab at the ETH in Zürich and they had a fotoklub that would take care of and use the facility.

I would check ebay for a second hand enlarger... A few years ago I picked one up for very little. But I suppose if you are after professional quality that might not be good or big enough.
I'm also looking for a photo studio that I could rent for an hour or two near Basel (CH/FR/DE all fine). Anyone know of anyplace?
