I am looking for footage of a speech which was given in the UK a few years ago (within the last 5 yrs, I think), whereby a politician (I think it was a woman) tried to use a gimmicky method to get people fired up about her speech.
She asked people to hold out their hands (and awkwardly waited whilst they did so) and cup them together. Then she asked people to look at their hands, and proudly said something like 'what you see is the future. The future is in your hands.'
Even typing it out makes my cringe. I have googled but without more details, I couldn't find what I was looking for.
If anyone recognises this speech and knows who the politician was and the specifics about the speech, I would be very appreciative!!
Cheers.
