I'd recommend Giahi in predigerplatz. My advice is still DO NOT try to save money on that bit, after all you might be stuck with something really nasty...the best guy I've seen working in Zurich is not there anymore, but his replacement should be good. For piercing ask for Mauri, tattoo ask who came to replace Alemao...I doubt it will be as good cos the guy was reeeally good, but it will probably be good too. They have more than 1 store in Zurich, I only know the predigerplatz one....
I was going to recommend this but couldn't find the address and their websitr seems to be off line - its part of the Giahi chain as Paulina has recommended
My husband got a tattoo done there in the summer. Very helpful friendly and professional service. Can highly recommend. It's on Schaffhauserstrasse in Seebach
It's not really possible to estimate the price like this, it's not a lot about the size and colours only but the design. For instance written stuff is usually more expensive than drawings if you want a really nice caligraphy. It all ends up on what kind of service you want, I'm sure you can find cheap ones but by the end of the day if it's messed up you'll be the one stuck with it. They charge per design or hours, for instances big tattoos at giahi used to be chf500 per block of 4 hours, and how much you can have done in 4 hours depends really on how detailed is drawing and -sorry for that- how much of a sissy you are... the painting itself is the easiest part on my opinion...I really would only go back to them, they did a perfect job, if you go there look for livia, and ask her who's the guy who replaced Alemao, I'm sure you'll be in good hands...
On a side note, if this is your first tattoo, watch out, they're quite addictive...but I truly love mines!
Thanks for all your posts. I got one near Schilren Banhof which costs me for 160 CHF. He has so many designs basic small designs are starting from 40CHF onwards. If any one needs the address i can post you
