Looking for discrete deposit box

Hello,

Do you have good suggestions for a deposit box in CH or abroad? It should be as anonyme as possible. Definitely without bound bank account and without referencing in any directories, if they exist. Box location could be also in France, Austria, maybe Italia

In this day and age, you'd be mad to allow unknown individuals to store packages in your building... data protecting would be the least of the worries.

You have to do as the old pirates used to do. Bury your items somewhere and make a treasure map.

Try Raiffeisen.

Although a year or so ago their deposit box facility was raided. People who had undeclared deposits of course lost all they had. One guy lost several million francs. Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

Check Degussa in Zurich.... they need a copy of your ID, but don't keep track of what's in your box.

There was once a short lived TV series where the premises was that an anonymous saftey deposit box was opened after the rent has not been paid for X years. After the box was opened a private detective tried to find the rightful owner of the content using as a clue just what was in the box.

The Landesmuseum in Zurich has an nice old safety deposit box shelve on display.

PS: If you pick your storrage loccation check that it is not prone to flooding (take barrages into account) and other hazzards.

Thanks, I did see similar offers from other companies, even significantly cheaper. ~150 CHF/year

What Do you think, are these claims reliable?

I'm asking, because other people, even here in thread, claim everything is regulated and should be reported to some state institutions, i.e. Betreibungsamt

once it becomes criminal, these places can get raided too.

Deposits in free port locations have been abused for all sorts of things, art smuggling being the egregious example.

It's discrete but probably through opaque structures.

Simply ask those people for a direct link to the specific article of the actual law and regulations which would mandate such a reporting.
