Looking for romantic restaurant around lake Zurich

Hi everyone.

I would like to invite my wife to a nice, romantic, relaxed restaurant somewhere around lake Zurich (now that the grandparents can look after the children during the spring holidays .

We live on the silver coast so anywhere from wollishofen to Rapperswil would be great. And I would like to give the super expensive places in Zurich centre a miss - looking for around 150sfr for two.

Does anyone have a good suggestion?

L'O in Horgen is very good, right down on the lakeside. Not cheap but well worth the occasional splurge.

150 CHF minimum per person you mean right?

75 CHF per person would more be for a kinda regular restaurant.

You can try for 150 but I suggest to expect it a bit more pricier depending on how 'super expensive' you want to go.

Note that near the Chinese garden, thus on the opposite side of the lake there are a number of good restaurants too to go for a proper date.

Oh, and for a proper relaxed date a trip to RoteFabrik http://www.rotefabrik.ch is not a bad thing either

This place is very nice..

Not on the lake per se, but this place left me and my OH very, very impressed. Very romantic, and their cuisine is pure art. Try their menu degustation, "A priori", which is served to you in a special, intimate, dedicated room of the restaurant, to send your palate to heaven.

May not be in the region you're seeking, but been a couple times to the

" Romantik Seehotel Sonne " ( Küsnacht) and it's wunderbar!

Le Jardin at Hotel Schwanen in Rapperswil. Live pianist, good abience, nice service and spacious with a terrase in summer.

Thanks for all those great suggestions. Too much choice is a good thing I guess . Just need the weather to brighten up now. Fingers crossed.

I'll throw my hat in for Seerose, it's great food and a perfect location, and if the weather's decent, you can sit on the pontoon.
