Looking for soul, mod or general 60s music lovers in Zurich!

Hey there EF people!

I'm interested in knowing if there are any like-minded music fans out there, perhaps nearer than I imagine...

I've been here in CH for nearly two years and have met one or two native mods/60s-interested people. Just wondering if there are any forum members who also have an interest in music as annoyingly dedicated as mine!

I like Beatles, Stones, 60s garage or psych and northern soul. I've found a couple of parties to attend (El Garage and Twist and Shout) but am fed up of going alone!

Would be great to hear from anyone and meet up for a drink sometime :-)

I'm rarely in Zürich for nights out but I do love a good northern soul nighter. If you are stuck on where to go for a dance, have a look at SMART Lion Zürich and RudeAttack for gig and nighter listings.

I'm into classic rock, blues, bluegrass and am a Deadhead. Moved here in Dec and am jonesing for some good music. Let me know if you hear of anything going on

Great! In that case, I will find out when the next El Garage is and drop you all a line. A friend of mine DJ-d the last one but apparently he doesn't do them all, so I can't vouch for the next one! But anyway, will be great to meet up with some like-minded people.

There used to be great northern soul nighters in Bern a few years ago, but they stopped doing them for some daft reason.

Some of my rude boy mates occasionally organise soul/ska parties in Thun (not nighters, but near enough). I will let y'all know when the next one will be (talcum powder is optional).

El Garage is 30 April. This is 60s garage and psych and a bit of soul. Personally, I love this music and will most likely go. Any takers?

I've been in the Geneva area for about 10 months and haven't found any mod-60's-psysch-northern soul oriented place either. Sorry to jump in in this thread, but it would be great if anyone had any info about it on this area.

Unfortunately I will miss the Purple Weekend in Spain in December this year for professional reasons. Any similar thing is organised in Switzerland or Southern Germany any time of the year?
