Lucky Charms Cereal

Hello again

Does anyone know if there is any chance of me getting any Lucky Charms cereal in store or online in Switzerland, France, or Germany? I am so tired of the crappy cereals available here.

Seriously, you think Lucky Charms is better than the lower sugar, more actual nutrition cereals (if you think cereal is good in the first place) available to you? I tried Lucky Charms once and couldn't eat more than two spoonfuls, never tasted anything so artificial and sweet calling itself 'cereal' in my life. I seriously hope nobody thinks this is suitable for kids, way to give them diabetes!

But if you must, you can get them here. Have you tried Cini Minis? They are evil. I have been known to eat a whole box in an evening...

Oh go on and please tell us how you really feel!

Wait...WHAT! Yea, sure...cini minis are sooo much healthier than lucky charms Did I miss something here?

No, cini minis are just as bad but if you want sweets masquerading as cereal - these actually taste of something I recognise as a real food

To be honest, I was really excited to try Lucky Charms for the first time, after all, that's basically what the Simpson kids eat. Boy was it a letdown...

But it's magically delicious!

Actually, I can't eat much of that sugary stuff at all anymore, so your not the only one who was let down. And the cini minis, which is called cinnamon toast crunch in the USA was at one point very good, but General Mills kept tweaking the recipe and now the yummy goodness that I very vividly remember, is just not what it used to be

Why not switch away from cereal and have a real breakfast with bread, fruit and yogurt. Better for you.

Bread causes a whole host of health problems in many people, as does cereal, refined sugar and dairy...

Just skip breakfast.

To much sugar this morning kittster? you seem a little hyper.

FYI, I think that you can probably get them in France. I'm going shopping later today or tomorrow and I'll check and get back to you.

All manufactured, boxed, sugared cereals are crap.

LOL

If the OP wants Lucky Charms, I seriously doubt that any arguments regarding healthy or not is going to sway the desire.

Sometimes, regardless of "healthy", folks simply want a taste of home.

Besides, if Lucky Charms can be found, chances are it's above 5chf per box (and if it is from one of the online shops, can bet it's closer to 10 PLUS shipping), so let the OP be. No one is going to buy that very often at that price, not for long anyhow.

Well said my friend, I just want lucky charms because I love them. I don't care how much they will cost.

A REAL breakfast includes bacon.

Ryan Gosling won't eat his Lucky Charms

Thanks for the link Kittster. I will order about 10 boxes

The last time I bought cini minis the box lasted me about three months because I was never inspired to eat it and would just have nothing instead. The same goes for any other type of cereal available in Swiss supermarkets. I guess I am one of those guys who are still fighting to enjoy some of the pleasures of life instead of giving up on life and becoming Swiss

Ahhhhh Lucky Charms, the fave of my childhood. I used to eat all the cereals first, then eat the marshmallow in colour/shape order.

They stopped selling in UK supermarkets it seems at a certain time, I think it was when the UK had a massive E number overhaul, and all the good stuff (inevitably bad stuff) either disappeared or got duller and less colourful i.e. the chew bars I used to love (refresher perhaps?!?!?), were no longer bright yellow and pink, for the lemon and strawberry flavours, but a dull pastel lemon and rose colour.

Then, a place called Sweetie Heaven opened in Bluewater shopping centre, which was the largest shopping centre in Europe at the time, not sure it is now. There they sold the lucky charms, at 8 GBP a box, i.e. about 3-4 times more than the old price or any other current cereal.

I had outgrown my love for them then, but I did have a friend who bought them in bulk, but from an online store who delivered from America I believe, it worked out cheaper.

I couldn't agree more. A good full English breakfast any day.

I know the feeling. I rarely eat cereals myself now, well not as a breakfast anyway, more as a snack in the evenings or at weekends, and I opt for choccy varieties, Wheetos are a fave, along with Chocoloate Crunch museli's, with the clusters. They might get you over the Lucky Charm thing, but equally not as healthy. But slightly healthier on the bank balance perhaps.

Seriously, you need to try Cini Minis. They do them in strawberry flavour too now. Germany or France might have more exotic cereal.

I totally understand childhood memory cravings - just not Lucky Charms, my expectations must have been too high, damn you Bart Simpson!

ETA: Migros sometimes does a "Caramelised Almond" crunchy muesli, that stuff is like crack too. Are there Fruit Loops on Switzerland? They have them in Germany...
