Luggage Weighing Scale

Hi,

Where can I buy a handheld weighing scale for check in luggage. Don't want to through the stuff in the airport . Some airlines are very strict about this.

Thanks.

Interdiscount have them, I've had one for a few years and it still works fine.

Thank you! appreciate your response.

This is the model: http://www.interdiscount.ch/idshop/p...age/detail.jsf

The handle on top is a decent size for lifting 20kg cases comfortably.

I accidentally bought too many of these:

if you want one, let me know. 10chfs. can also post if easier than meeting in zh.

(weighs up to 50kgs and also has a g mode if you need to weigh smaller things)

I tend to always travel with one kind or another.

Some luggage does not have suitable handle for the hook. So I added some strong string to my luggage handle, so I can use the hook of the weighing scale. If you need string, think about what you wrap your newspapers in for recycling, double it up if necessary

So whenever I needed to weigh my luggage, I weigh myself on a regular scale while carrying the luggage, and then subtract my weight. Simple no?

Well yes- but most holiday accom does not have scales- so if you buy a few bits and pieces while there- how do you check the weight. We have one of these hook things- great.

Don't we all have bathroom scales at home? Even if 'too small' there are easy answers.

The trouble is that they aren't particularly accurate - even if they're good to within 1% (which I seriously doubt), that's around 1kg for person + bag vs 0.2kg for just the bag.

You could assume they're linear and therefore only the 20kg delta matters - but balancing with bag in hand isn't likely to help that theory.

One mistake on a low-cost flight will pay for several of the luggage scales.

Nope.

We do have a luggage scale from interdiscount that we use for holidays though.
