Hi, I recently acquired the LycaMobile sim card in Switzerland everything is working ok. The problem is with international calls. When calling to other countries my numbers is sometimes shown as a number from Romania, Germany, Luxemburg or any other country. This does not happen all the time, sometimes the number is also correct. Has anybody encountered the same behavior, how can I change this? Thankss
This is probably to do with their local number system. When you actually visit these countries they issue a local number so friends can call you at their local rates.
It doesn't always seem to work and it expires after 7 days and the renewal info is incomprehensible.
A call to their support may explain. I got through once on another matter, but they weren't very helpful...
I am living in Zürich and always have great signal with Lycamobile, so not sure it is because of their system when abroad. Still it is really strange, now sometimes I cannot even call international numbers because I get the message that the number does not exist, when I am sure that the number is correct. Lyca really offers amazing deals, but this kind of stuff annoys me. Is anybody experiencing the same behavior?
Late answer, but yes - I experience this issue lately. Moreover - my friends see some weird number and when they pick up the quality of our conversation is so poor that it's not possible to talk normally.
A week ago I also send three text messages to swiss mobile number (swisscom i think) - my friend didn't get them (ever). I didn't get any failure info about it. So now I don't know if my sms reaches receipient.
Looking for an alternative but I don't think there is one (in reasonable price) on the market...
Yes, it happens with Lycamobile. People I call, get weird number on their screen. This happened with UK lycamobile as well.
well the same happens with yall0 - but the problem with lyca is that the quality right now is so low, that it's not possible to understand each other.
Looking right now for other options which would fulfill my needs..
