Lycamobile - the good, the bad, the ugly??

Hi everyone,

So we are newly landed in Switzerland and need to set ourselves up with a new mobile phone number.

From a little bit of research, Lycamobile seem to be good value with some great offers when travelling throughout Europe. We have family in Germany, and visit frequently. However, there are some really bad online reviews am I'm a little reluctant to sign up with a dud mobile phone provider.

Can anyone share with me their Lycamobile experience, good, bad or otherwise?

Thanks!

There are a number of threads on Lycamobile - search box.

I‘ve been with them for 4 years now. At CHF19/month for SwissM it‘s unbeatable. No complaints from me...

Another happy customer here

my experiences:

1. cheapest company if you need up to a few gb of data

2. very expensive calls

3. their signal and speeds are very good

4. their customer support is awful

5. if you need up to a few gb of data without many calls, go with them

6. if you want unlimited data and calls there are often offers from lidl or yallo

Very expensive calls?!? CHF19/month for unlimited calls in CH & EU (plus unlimited data with 10Gb at high speed).

Been with Lycamobile for 2 years and overall satisfied but again if you face an issue and need customer support then its another story.

But nothing beats the CHF 19/month

Was wondering the same. Nothing beats the 19/month deal with free roaming from Lycamobile.

If you do not have a package it is 45rappen/minute.

This is 2 or 3 times more expensive than the basic prices of yallo and lidl.

Indeed if you plan to call significantly you buy the 19chf package

For me I make all my calls via whatsapp/messenger. So if I have to make a normal call from time to time, a 2 minute call costs a CHF :S
